Question
In the Template T01.00, we would like to ask more clarification about the annotation regarding the COVERED DEPOSIT (absent in the previous guidance update) and specifically the part of COVERED DEPOSIT “including a minimum amount and some exceptional and temporary high balances”.
In addition the excess coverage of the DGSD doesn’t have to be reported in the row r110 but in the row r210 and r220.
We would like to ask you to clarify what the temporary high balances are and how to identify them.
Furthermore we haven’t clearly understood what temporary stands for and how to split the excess coverage between the row r310 and r320 that you probably meant when pointing to r210 and r220.
Response
For temporary high balances, reference is made to the Directive on deposit guarantee schemes (2014/49/EU).
The references are indeed not correct and should refer to r310 and r320 depending on the nature and counterparty of the deposit.
