Question

Could you please confirm that the term “deposits”, which is mainly used in relation with the submission A on an aggregate level, includes the different instruments “cash account/saving account” and “term deposit” as mentioned in c0140 - Nature of the liability?

Response

Footnote 17 of the MBDT guidance links the definition of deposits to ‘Deposits’ as defined in Directive 2014/49/EU and its national transpositions. We confirm that the options cash account/saving account and term deposit in c0140 - Nature of the liability fall within this definition for both submission A and B.
