Title | Instructions regarding non-applicability |
Question
The instructions provided for some data points regarding non-applicability seem to be inconsistent with the validation rules. Could you please clarify the rationale? Please clarify as well whether there is a difference for non-applicability on general (product type) or individual (single instrument level). E.g. CSD (B02.00 c0460, see “Background”): This data point is obviously not applicable for deposits. Is your intention that there should be a difference in data provided between a deposit an a security that has (for whatever reason) no CSD? Therefore, should we provide a NULL value in the first and a “Not applicable” value in the latter case?
Response
In case field c0460 (Central securities depository) in B02.00 is not applicable, please input “Not applicable“, as indicated in the MBDT guidance’s instructions.
