QA2025-18- Missing technical specification in Country Annex

Question

The German Country Annex does not provide any amendment to the validation rules (including data type specifications) as well as guidance how specific data points should be treated in case they are not applicable or for the aggregated Submission B. Could you please update the guidance?

Response

The data types are specified in the Excel file “DE Country Annex - Minimum Bail-in Data Template (MBDT) tables” belonging to the Country Annex. Additional validation rules will be added both for the MBDT core package and the DE country annex in the future. Regarding the reporting of values denoting “Not applicable”, we refer to the instructions in Annex II of the MBDT core package. Following this, for the case of B90.00 c0089, the correct value would be “Not applicable” in case the field is not applicable. In the case of aggregated deposits in Submission A of B02.00, the correct entry in field B90.00 c0089 would be “Aggregated”, which we noted for future amendment of the guidance.
