Question
According to new SRB Guidance 2019, granular tabs provide fields to be filled mandatorily. With particular reference to T04.00 - Securities, field c210 – Creditor is classified as mandatory field. Since institutions does not have such information in some cases (e.g. for listed securities where the creditor may change every day), we kindly ask you to clarify if a default value is expected to be used where the creditor is unknown (for example the code 99999999 already used also for other reporting). Otherwise, if such solution is not applicable, could you please consider to exclude the creditor from the list of mandatory fields?
Response
Banks are asked to provide this information to the SRB. In the event this information is not readily available, banks may indicate "Not Available" in this field (free text is used here).
