Question
In SRB “Guidance 2019” is defined:
a) “Note that for practical reasons, when a liability meets multiple criteria and could be reported in several rows in the range of r110 to r200, it can be reported only once should be so using a top to bottom approach”.
b) “Where the total amount of the deposit exceeds the covered part as indicated above, the part exceeding the coverage shall not be reported in r0110, but rather than split out into r0310 or r0320 depending on the preferential treatment or not of such uncovered part”
How should these guidelines be interpreted if a same liability is – for example - partially covered by DGS and partially secured?
Response
Where multiple characterisics are present, the higher categories (lower row numbers) should be used.
